It's the "Story That Will Not Die" and the reason "Legends Restaurant vs. Marsha Richards" (or "Consumers vs. Lousy Service") won't die is because it resonates with you...the consumer. Welcome back to Insight on Business and Metro Monday the day where we spend our 90-minutes talking about local business issues from marketing to consumer trends. We're part of Des Moines Local...LIVE.
If you have a pulse and your live in Central Iowa this customer service nightmare and public relations train wreck has been in the news for nearly a week. There is a Facebook page denouncing Legends Restaurant, there has been a steady stream of comments on Marc Hansen's Sunday Des Moines Register article from yesterday. It's nuts and people far and wide are taking their pound of flesh and exercising their anger in public. Amazing and we'll put another spin on this story in the first half hour of the show.
And, how timely it is that our special guest is in the business news media? Todd Razor from the Des Moines Business Record is our guest today. We've got all kinds of questions for him on this issue and so many others that are brewing in the Des Moines Business Community. A sample: Are business leaders immune to change considering the economy? If not...how have they adjusted? Even the New York Times thinks magic things happen in Des Moines...do we take what we have for granted? Commercial Real Estate sales drop by 39% what is next? Is everything as rosy as the Des Moines Chamber says it is? What does the "mainstream" business community think about social media...we'll talk about the survey done for the Business Record. Those issues and more with our friend Todd Razor today.
