Insight on Business with Michael Libbie is our Monday - Thursday look at the world of advertising, marketing, consumer trends and best business practices. Here we give you ideas and tips on what works...and what doesn't as you seek to improve your marketing footprint. We're live at Noon Central here at Webcast One LIVE and because we want to know your thoughts you can join the conversation in "The Chat" or on Twitter, I monitor @MichaelLibbie before during and after the show. And...today is Thursday that means we'll bring you "The Worst Ad of the Week"... Let's go:
Last night there was an amazing and touching memorial service from Tucson that, if you don't have cable or satellite or Internet...you didn't see. It was a television network error that shows us how old and tired that media has become. Where once the networks (ABC, NBC, CBS) were essential glue to the fabric of this nation they have become "second rate". While all the networks carried President Obama's remarks they made the decision to air re-runs and game-shows during the time leading up to the president. We'll share some thoughts on this...today.
While we take Social Media for granted there is still such a steep learning curve for most industries. One: The Petfood Industry. I'll share an article that we received this morning...
I'm not going to read all of this to you today...however those of you who have watched this program for the past several years may find we've covered each of these points raised by Inc. "The New Rules of Branding Your Business Online" is a great read...now just...do it.
What is new and exciting for 2011 when it comes to advertising and marketing? The ability to better target consumers. Who is doing it and what is happening? We'll share the details today. Oh...and spending on advertising in 2011...going up...fast. Are you there?
Those stories and more along with the "Worst Ad of the Week" today. Insight on Business is a production of our advertising agency, Insight Advertising, Marketing and Communications and made possible by:
