Meet BluOpal - Today
I've known Bruce Kawahara for several years. He's one of those guys who is, not only fun, but a deep thinker. He, along with BluOpal Co-Founder, Michele Roden will be in studio discussing leadership. We'll talk about the "Leadership Void". Why business and industry often don't meet their full potential and why. We'll visit about relationships and why some hold your career back while others help it skyrocket. Today's session isn't for beginners...but then again, who of us isn't all about learning. We'll do that today with Bruce and Michele as we get to know BluOpal and their insight on business.
Last night Webcast One LIVE played host to nearly thirty members of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce. They came to the studio to learn more about our network and what the heck we're doing here. A couple of brief observations...from a business point of view. Oh, and video...got that below. Here we see our friend Kayla Craig from the Des Moines Register working the crowd and gathering stories. Thaks for coming Kayla. And...after the event. I think I might have a photo from there as well. It's the Producer's life. But first the video:
Which, by the way you can catch Max Crabb and "Geek Speak" on Friday Evening at 7:15 Central...right here at Webcast One LIVE. If you happen to speak the geek or want to learn!
We Sometimes Chuckle...
This past week President Obama launched his re-election campaign on...social media. More specifically Facebook. Breathless, Time Magazine writes: "Obama just opened the floodgates. Politics is going to be a huge thing on the hugest social network for the next couple of years." Welcome to the 21st Century...Time. Not wishing to be a "Social Media Snob"...but...yawn.
Nine Bad Behaviors that Send Your Customers to the Competition
We caught these on Open by American Express. I'll share today in the first segment. See if you resemble any?
Tomorrow you'll be treated to a "Best Of" for Insight on Business News Hour because I get to go to Ames to address the American Institute of Architects - Iowa Chapter. It will be huge...fun...epic and, I suspect, eye opening as we share with these men and women how they can engage, and build relationships with current and future customers by using a broad range of Social Media Tools. Don't worry...I'll share. ;-) By the way...you've got lots of connections on LinkedIn. Me too...now.
Those stories and several more...between now and the time we're live. Thanks again for coming by. And, as always you can connect anytime. Leave a comment here, head to Twitter, we've got one of those Facebook Thingys or...send me an e-mail. See you...at Noon Central.
