Insight on Business the News Hour with Michael Libbie is a body of work from our advertising agency, Insight Advertising, Marketing & Communications and is heard Monday - Friday live at 1350-KRNT in Des Moines, Iowa. (And, we post the podcasts.) It is the business news of the Des Moines Metro along with interviews with news-makers. If you would like to connect with us on Twitter we monitor @IoB_NewsHour before, during and after the live broadcast and here is our Facebook Page for some back-story fun...about the News Hour.
We welcome Matthew McCarty the co-owner of Drive with Cops. Matthew is an officer with the West Des Moines Police Department and he also teaches people how to drive. We think it's a cool idea and we'll have Matthew in studio during the first half-hour to share with us...how it all works out.
Then in the second half-hour we welcome the new publisher of the Des Moines Register, Rick Green. Rick had been the newspaper editor and last week was "kicked upstairs" into the role of publisher. He is energetic, determined and a true warrior for the Des Moines Register brand. We'll ask lots of questions and, knowing Rick, he'll be answering them in rapid fire style. Rick Green in the second half hour.
Between Matthew and Rick we'll share business and economic development stories, the Wall Street Journal Report, stocks of local interest, a report from agriculture, business marketing tips you can use and a host of information you'll not get anywhere else. That's all today with Insight on Business the News Hour starting right after the CBS News at 5PM Central on 1350-KRNT, Des Moines.
