Late on Tuesday (7/29) evening we were able to catch up with J.D. Scholten in one of many stops he's made with Democracy on Tap a voting rights effort from the New Iowa Project. The event, held at a local brewpub (like all the stops and a shout out to 1717 Brewing Co.), it is designed to get voting activists involved following the recent purge of voters from the rolls as well as a long list of "voter suppression" legislation recently passed by the Iowa Legislature.
