More Than Words - Sexual Harassment in the Workplace with Kristen Anderson

We recorded this conversation before her book was out and now that it's available we're here with this interview.  Meet Kirsten Anderson speaker and now author of "More than Words - Turn Me Too Into I Said Something". For some of you you may remember that Kirsten delt with workplace sexual harassment while at the Iowa Legislature. Those issues prompted legal action and Kirsten was awarded $1.75 million. Here we talk, a bit about that, but more importantly why she wrote the book. She will tell you this is a "how to" book for people who are dealing with workplace harassment. The Windsor Heights Book Fair with Tyler Granger

Sometimes, even though we have an international audience, we get to do some hyper-local things and that's what you're getting today.   Why? Because we think this is such a neat idea we hope that someone in another town, state or nation might pick up on the idea and do a local book fair where you live. Here you'll meet Tyler Granger from Windsor Heights, Iowa who has put together a book fair featuring Iowa writers ranging from history to news to romance to mystery to children's books.  He has done a masterful job in promoting the event as well. The event is on October 3rd starting at noon and HERE is a link to that Facebook Page. And to complete the conversation you'll also meet Julie Granger a former school teacher who has already penned several western romance novels with a twist. The Okoboji Writers Retreat 2.0 with Julie Gammack

Last year when my friend, journalist and entrepreneur, Julie Gammack called to invite me to attend the Okoboji Writers Retreat I was happy to say "Yes!". I figured that maybe 50 writers, speakers, creators might show up.  Uhm...I was wrong. Over 120 folks showed up to listen, learn and get motivated to create some magic. Now it's time for the Okoboji Writers Retreat 2.0 and it's a big deal.  Here Julie will explain what to expect and share details about some of the folks who will be attending.  And she leaves us with a tease of something else she is working on.  Listen in and consider joining us in September.
