Four Questions for Presidential Candidate Bill de Blasio

Recently New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio was in Iowa meeting with Democratic Party activists and voters about issues important to the 2020 race.  I caught up with the mayor to ask him four questions. What he said surprised me and, my bet is, that they will surprise you as well. We talk about health care, education, day care and more.

It's all about the numbers...and so we begin earnings season on Wall Street and some big names reported those numbers today before the bell. We'll talk about it. In addition to that story:

• Where the money is coming from for consumers to buy stuff;

5 Cities, 6 Days, 20 Presidential Candidates with Brad Anderson AARP-Iowa

It's never been done before but that hasn't stopped the team from AARP-Iowa as they kick off a five city tour in six days with twenty presidential candidates. Here Brad Anderson the State Director for AARP-Iowa details what gets underway on Monday the 15th of July starting in Des Moines and ending next week on the 20th in Council Bluffs.  At each stop the 370,000 members of AARP-Iowa will weigh in with questions for the candidates. The Business of Politics with Pete D'Alessandro

Each week I get to take a thought leader "Out to Lunch" and have a conversation about a business topic. This week it was the business of politics with long-time political organizer Pete D'Alessandro who cut his political chops in Chicago and then came to Iowa.
