Reflections on DMDC2024

We spent a fast paced 55 hours on the ground in Washington, D.C. for the 45th Annual Des Moines to D.C. (DMDC) trip by the Greater Des Moines Partnership. This is where elected officials, community groups and business leaders used the time to not only network among themselves but also lobby our federal legislators about some key projects from airports to a new interstate to fixing roads and bridges. The reaction from those involved? For the Love of Books - Tyler Granger and the Book Fair

Clearly our friend loves the opportunity to share! Once again we sat down with author and entrepreneur Tyler Granger and talked about the Second Annual Windsor Heights Book Fair that will be held on Sunday, October 1st. It will be held at 1141 69th Street in Windsor Heights, Iowa. On hand between Noon and 6PM will be several dozen authors from across the state. Visitors can visit with them and learn more about their work. Here, in this interview, I ask Tyler what drives him to do this massive project, who his partners are, how he has marketed the event and more. Fall Fest 2023 - Get To Know Our Community

While this may seem "hyper-local" it very well may give you and your community some ideas on how to create a winning event for the whole family. The Black Phoenix Group - Real Estate with Zac Bales-Henry

The Windsor Heights Book Fair with Tyler Granger

Sometimes, even though we have an international audience, we get to do some hyper-local things and that's what you're getting today.   Why? Because we think this is such a neat idea we hope that someone in another town, state or nation might pick up on the idea and do a local book fair where you live. Here you'll meet Tyler Granger from Windsor Heights, Iowa who has put together a book fair featuring Iowa writers ranging from history to news to romance to mystery to children's books.  He has done a masterful job in promoting the event as well. The event is on October 3rd starting at noon and HERE is a link to that Facebook Page. And to complete the conversation you'll also meet Julie Granger a former school teacher who has already penned several western romance novels with a twist.
